KEC International bags significant orders worth Rs 1704 crore for its Transmission & Distribution business

KEC International, an infrastructure EPC major, under the RPG Group, announced that it has secured turnkey orders worth Rs 1,704 crore for its Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business. The order is for design, supply and installation of 765 kV transmission lines and GIS substations from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL). 

Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International, said, “We are delighted with the continuous inflow of orders, especially in our T&D business. These 765 kV orders from PGCIL have further strengthened our India T&D order book, reaffirming our confidence in the continued strong growth of this business. With these orders, our YTD order intake now stands at Rs 16,300 crore, reflecting an impressive growth of over 60 per cent compared to last year.”

Earlier on November 25, the company had secured new orders of Rs 1,114 crore across its various businesses. Its Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business bagged orders for T&D projects in the Middle East and Americas including 400 kV Transmission line in Oman and supply of towers, hardware and poles in Americas. Its Civil business secured orders in the industrial segment in India. The Railways business bagged an order for Metro Overhead Electrification (OHE) works in the technologically enabled segment in India. And the Cables segment secured orders for supply of various types of cables in India and overseas.

In November, the company had released its fiscal second quarter earnings with a profit jump of 53 per cent YoY to Rs 85.4 crore as against Rs 5.8 crore during the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal year. The company’s revenue from operations went up by 13.7 per cent to Rs 5,113.3 crore as against Rs 4,499 crore during the same period of FY24.
