Petrol, Diesel Price Today 28 November 2024 in Chennai, Mumbai, Indore, Ludhiana and Pune

Petrol, Diesel Price Today 28 November 2024: Oil prices dipped marginally in Asian markets on Thursday, indicating concerns related to demand in the United States following a surge in gasoline inventories. Brent crude futures went down by 4 cents to $72.79 per barrel whereas US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude dropped by 1 cent to $68.71 per barrel.

The uncertainty in the market has been growing as the discussions among OPEC+ members related to postponing a planned meeting on an increase in oil production. According to Reuters sources, the hike which was slated to happen in January may get delayed further. The production policies for the beginning months of 2025 are likely to be finalized in a meeting scheduled on Sunday by the oil producers.

Meanwhile, the recent ceasefire deal between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah group has increased fears of supply disruptions from the Middle East. The peace agreement which started on Wednesday has lessened the geopolitical risk and has impacted the crude prices downward.

The ongoing conflict in West Asia has caused major changes in crude oil prices because of heightened geopolitical tensions and their effect on global energy markets. As this is considered to be the most significant region for oil production, any uncertainty in West Asia has a direct impact on international markets.
