2025 BMW S 1000 R breaks cover

BMW has taken the wraps off the 2025 S 1000 R for the global market, which gets a host of visual and mechanical updates. BMW says that the updated street fighter has been updated to offer more performance than before. Let’s take a more detailed look at the 2025 BMW S 1000 R and its updates. 

2025 BMW S 1000 R updates

Let’s start with the engine — the in-line four gets revised intake parts, which has helped the company extract 170bhp from the engine, while a shorter final drive helps with quicker acceleration. In terms of electronics, the new S 1000 R gets an M Quick-Action Throttle, a bi-directional quick shifter, and Drag Torque Control. The engine braking function also gets four settings, along with a type-C charger.

Now, in regards to design, the updated S 1000 R gets a new headlight called ‘dual flow LED’ and retains its familiar silhouette. The motorcycle is available in three colours – Black Storm Metallic, Bluefire, and Light White with M Motorsport graphics – and the launch is expected in early 2025 with deliveries following soon.
