Q2 Earnings 2024 Live Updates: The Q2 earnings season has started and is in full swing. Market participants will watch out for the Q2 performance of the likes of Bajaj Housing Finance, City Union Bank, Union Bank of India, Gravtia India, Cyient DLM, and Mahindra Logistics among others. The earnings so far have been rather muted for India Inc. in Q2. Deal wins, and margins have been key concerns for the market. However, the expectation is that H2 will deliver better returns for corporate India.

The other key results later this week include Zomato, Varun Beverages, Zensar Technologies, and Indus Towers.

Ultratech Cements’ net profit for the period fell 35.4% on year to Rs 825 crore against Rs 1,280.4 crore posted a year ago in the same quarter. The company’s revenue from operations stood at Rs 15,635 crore in Q1 FY25, compared to Rs 16,012 crore posted in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.

“Underneath the headline numbers, Tech Mahindra showed progress on all three pillars of its strategy. On growth, larger account focus is visible – top-20 accounts led growth/new logo additions in BFSI. On margins, governance and rigour in fixed price contracts (likely a weak area before) are yielding better realisation. That is helping it balance near-term cost control (sub-con etc) with long-term investments (large deal capabilities, fresher infusion). The biggest improvement, in our view, is the new management’s clear articulation of turnaround progress. That, along with tangible results, should instil confidence,” said JM Financial in a research report.
