Many banks have recently updated their rules regarding credit card usage at airports for lounge access. Joining the list, another leading bank ICICI Bank has announced some changes too for its credit card users. These changes will take effect on July 1 this year.
According to the latest update, eligible ICICI Bank credit cardholders can avail of free lounge access at select domestic airports. For this, they have to show their valid and unexpired credit card, along with a boarding pass or flight ticket for same-day or next-day travel, at the time of entry to the lounge. A nominal fee of Rs 2 will be charged to confirm the validity of the card.
Note, this facility is free only for the cardholder. Accompanying guests may be charged as per the lounge policy. Entry and services are operated by third-party providers.

Spending-based eligibility: When will you get free lounge access?
To get free airport lounge access, ICICI Bank credit cardholders need to spend a minimum of Rs 75,000 in the stipulated time period.
For example – if you spend Rs 75,000 between March 26, 2025 and June 25, 2025, you will get free lounge access from the next quarter i.e. July 1, 2025 to September 30, 2025.
Similarly, if you spend Rs 75,000 between June 26, 2025 and September 25, 2025, you will get lounge access from October 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025.
Are all cardholders eligible for this facility?
Some special ICICI Bank credit cards are excluded from this new lounge access policy. These cards include:
ICICI Bank Diamant Credit Card
ICICI Bank Emeralde (Private/Metal) Credit Cards
ICICI Bank Emirates Emeralde Credit Card
Adani One ICICI Bank (Signature/Platinum) Credit Cards
MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Credit Card
Times Black ICICI Bank Credit Card

Do all types of spends on cards count for lounge access benefit?
