Now you can use BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) to make payments and track, manage, and split your expenses with friends and family. NPCI BHIM Services Limited (NBSL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), has launched BHIM 3.0.
BHIM 3.0 will be fully rolled out by April 2025, making digital payments even easier. Let’s know the new and special features of BHIM 3.0.
“BHIM 3.0 represents its third evolution since its launch in 2016 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The new BHIM 3.0 app offers customer customer-friendly and more intuitive experience,” according to an official statement.

- Availability in more than 15 Indian languages
Now BHIM 3.0 will be available in more than 15 Indian languages, so that people from different regions can use it easily.
- Fast transactions even on weak internet connection
BHIM 3.0 is designed to work smoothly even on slow or unstable internet connections.
- Complete monitoring of expenses – track, manage, and split
Now you will be able to analyze your monthly expenses, which will help you understand where you are spending the most.
Split Expenses: Now you can split expenses with friends and family, whether it is rent, food bill or any group shopping.
Spend Analytics: The dashboard of BHIM 3.0 will automatically categorize and classify your expenses, which will help you in making budget and controlling expenses.

4. Family Mode – One BHIM app for the whole family
You can add all the members of your family to the same account.
You can track their expenses and assign specific payments.
This will make the home budget and expense planning better than before.

BHIM 3.0 will remind you about things like pending bills, UPI Lite activation and low balance, so that you do not miss any important payment.

In-app payments: Now shopkeepers and merchants can accept payments directly in the app through BHIM 3.0.
