IndusInd Bank

IndusInd Bank, the country’s fifth-largest private lender, said on Monday that an internal review of its derivative portfolio revealed discrepancies, which could hit its net worth by approximately 2.35% as of December 2024. With its net worth at Rs 65,102 crore as of December 31, the impact is likely to be around Rs 1,530 crore – more than Rs 1,401.3-crore net profit in the third quarter of the current financial year.

Vodafone Idea has missed the deadline for submitting a bank guarantee worth Rs 6,091 crore towards the shortfall in its 2015 spectrum auction dues, reported The Financial Express citing sources. The department of telecommunications (DoT) had directed the company to either furnish the bank guarantee or make a cash payment of Rs 5,493 crore by March 10.

Syngene International, an arm of Biocon, acquired its first biologics facility in the US from Emergent Manufacturing Operations Baltimore, a subsidiary of Emergent BioSolutions. The facility is equipped with multiple monoclonal antibody (mAbs) manufacturing lines. Syngene paid $36.5 million to acquire the company.

Sun Pharmaceutical

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries on Monday announced a definitive agreement to acquire Checkpoint Therapeutics for an upfront cash payment of $355 million (around Rs 3,099.51 crore).
