PM Kisan Scheme 19th Installment Live Updates: The 19th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme is set to be disbursed today, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi visiting Bhagalpur to release funds directly into farmers’ accounts. The scheme, launched on February 24, 2019, provides financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per year to eligible farming households. So far, over Rs 3.46 lakh crores have been transferred to more than 11 crore farmers across 18 instalments.

Direct benefits to farmers

In the previous instalment, around 9.58 crore farmers received benefits. With the 19th instalment, the total financial aid distributed under PM-KISAN will reach Rs 3.68 lakh crores. The scheme aims to reduce production costs, ensure fair pricing, and help farmers invest in quality seeds and fertilizers without relying on high-interest loans.

Who is eligible?

The PM-KISAN scheme provides Rs 6,000 annually to landholding farmer families, distributed in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 every four months. The funds are directly credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts, ensuring transparency and efficiency. Eligible recipients include the husband, wife, and minor children of farming households.
