Airtel to offer Apple TV+, Music to its Wi-Fi, Postpaid users

Bharti Airtel on Monday said that it has entered into a partnership with Apple to provide Apple TV+ streaming services and Apple Music to its home Wi-Fi and postpaid customers.

As part of this collaboration, Airtel will offer Apple TV+ access to its home Wi-Fi customers on plans starting at Rs 999, allowing them to stream content across multiple devices. Additionally, postpaid customers on plans of Rs 999 and above will receive Apple TV+ along with six months of complimentary Apple Music.

The partnership will give Airtel users exclusive access to Apple’s premium content, including drama and comedy series, feature films, documentaries, and kids’ and family entertainment.

Airtel had previously announced its decision to shut down Wynk Music in August 2023, at which time it also revealed its collaboration with Apple to provide Apple TV+ and Apple Music to its users.

We are confident that this partnership will redefine the content consumption landscape, setting a new standard for entertainment experiences among customers.”

Shalini Poddar, director – content and services at Apple India said, “The partnership aligns with our strategic goal of making award-winning content, stories, and entertainment readily accessible, with something for everyone.”

Beyond Apple TV+ and Apple Music, Airtel already has partnerships with major streaming platforms such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, ZEE5, and Jio Hotstar.
