Petrol, Diesel Price Today 7 February 2025 in New Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Rajkot and Jaipur

Petrol, Diesel Price Today 7 February 2025: Oil prices saw a bit surge in early Asian trading on Friday but continued on the path of a third consecutive weekly drop. The reason behind the drop was because of US President Donald Trump’s latest trade tensions with China and potential tariff hikes on other nations.

As per the latest report, Brent crude futures has increased by 15 cents and has reached $74.44 per barrel whereas US West Intermediate (WTI) crude rose up by 9 cents and was at $71.70 per barrel.

Recently, Trump has announced a 10% tariff on Chinese imports as part of a broader plan to enhance the US trade balance. However, he decided to pause the plans for high tariffs on Canada and Mexico. Since Trump took office on January 20, Brent crude has gone down by over 8% whereas WTI has dropped by more than 7%.

According to Rahul Kalantri, VP Commodities, Mehta Equities Ltd, ‘’We expect crude oil prices to remain volatile in today’s session. Crude oil is having support at $70.20-69.40 and resistance is at $71.35-72.00 today’s session. In INR crude oil has support at Rs 6,140-6,070 while resistance at Rs 6,310-6,390.’’
