Rupee slides to new all-time low to 87.2500 per dollar; Here’s why…

The Indian rupee slid to an all-time low of 87.2500 per dollar on Monday as the dollar index surged more than a per cent on Trump’s tariff war. The dollar index hiked 1.24% to trade at Rs 109.84%. The dollar index is a measure of the value of the US dollar relative to a basket of six foreign currencies.

The domestic currency depreciated 0.72% to 87.2500 to the US dollar.
