Gold surges to new lifetime highs; Check gold rate in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and other cities

The Gold rate in Delhi touched an all-time high of Rs 81,120 on January 31, as per India Bullions data. Gold prices have risen 2.2% compared to ten days back while Silver prices have increased 0.78% during the same time frame. Gold traded positively as participants positioned themselves against potential import duty hikes, following the 6% cut in the previous Budget.

“A significant divergence was observed between Comex and MCX, with domestic gold rallying 2.5% in the past week, while Comex gained only 0.50%. The Federal Reserve’s statement on maintaining steady rates while closely monitoring inflation data adds to the uncertainty, which continues to support gold prices,” said Jateen Trivedi, Vice President and Research Analyst of Commodity and Currency at LKP Securities. 

Gold and silver rates today, January 31

The 24-carat gold rate in India was Rs 81,230 per 10 grams on January 31, a jump of Rs 660 from the price of January 30. The rate for 24-carat gold per gram is Rs 8,123. While the rate of 22-carat gold was Rs 74,461 per 10 grams.

The price of 24-carat gold has risen 0.9% in the last seven days. Its price has hiked by 2.3% in the last ten days. However, there’s a change in the price of silver, it is available to Indian customers today at a price of Rs 92,900 per kilogram. 

Gold rate in Mumbai on January 31

The Gold rate in Mumbai is Rs 81,230/10 grams today. On January 30, the gold was available for Rs 80,570/10 grams. A week back, on January 24, gold was sold for Rs 80,240/10 grams.

Silver rate in Mumbai on January 31

Silver rate in Mumbai was Rs 92,900/Kg on January 31, while it was priced at Rs 92,000/Kg and a week ago the price was Rs 91,720.

Gold rate in Kolkata on January 31

The gold rate in Kolkata was Rs 81,120/10 grams, today, January 31. The glittering metal was selling for Rs 80,470/10 grams yesterday and was quoting for Rs 80,130/10 grams last week.
