ITC Hotels files application with NSE, BSE for listing- A look at tentative listing date

After the demerger of ITC Hotels from ITC, one of the most talked-about discussions in town is around its listing date on the Indian bourses as a standalone entity. Investors and analysts are abuzz with anticipation and questions about when ITC Hotels shares will finally trade and, more importantly, what the expected listing price will be.

ITC Hotels, following its demerger from ITC became a standalone company on January 1. As part of this transition, ITC Hotels has filed the applications with the NSE and BSE, seeking approval for its listing.

ITC Hotels, now on the track to make its independent debut, let’s take a look at the listing date, potential pricing and other key details.

When will ITC Hotel list?

According to the NDTV Profit report, citing people familiar with the matter, ITC Hotels shares are expected to list on January 29.

Intriguingly, if the listing date mentioned in the report is pans out, it is expected to take place just days before the Union Budget 2025, scheduled for February 1 (Saturday).

This is in line with ITC’s earlier timeline to list its demerged hotels business within 60 days of receiving the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) approval, which was granted on December 16, 2024. As per this, the listing is scheduled to take place on or before mid-February.

However, it is important to note that the company has not yet announced the official listing date.

What price will ITC Hotel list at?

According to brokerage firm Nuvama Research report, ITC Hotels shares are likely to list at around Rs 200 per share. This valuation indicates an estimated market capitalisation of Rs 42,000 crore. This valuation factors in a potential 20% holding company discount, given that ITC retains a stake in the newly demerged entity.

Meanwhile, on January 6, a special trading session was conducted to facilitate price discovery for ITC Hotels. The ITC share price was adjusted by approximately Rs 26-27 to reflect the demerger.
