Adani Green posts 37% YoY increase in operational capacity at 11,609 MW for 9MFY25

Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) on Wednesday announced that its operational capacity for the 9 months ended December 31, 2024, increased by 37 per cent on-year to 11,609 MW with greenfield addition of 2,693 MW solar and 438 MW wind power plants. In a regulatory filing, AGEL said that in terms of solar power plants, it recorded a greenfield addition of 2,113 MW in Khavda, Gujarat and 580 MW in Rajasthan. Further, in terms of wind power plants, it recorded a greenfield of 312 MW in Khavda, Gujarat and 126 MW in Gujarat. 

Further, the company announced that the sale of energy during the nine months of FY25 increased by 23 per cent on-year at 20,108 million units, backed by robust capacity addition.

It posed a steady growth in generation at a CAGR of 49 per cent over the last 4 years with an increasing proportion of merchant power. AGEL witnessed a consistently generating electricity significantly above commitment under PPA. The company had signed a PPA with MSEDCL to supply 5 GW solar power for a period of 25 years.

While the solar portfolio CUF was at 23.5 per cent backed by 99.4 per cent plant availability, wind portfolio CUF at 29.2 per cent backed by 95.0 per cent plant availability, and hybrid portfolio CUF was at 39.8 per cent backed by 99.7 per cent plant availability. 

Shares of Adani Green went up by 3.01 per cent on an intraday basis. 

The company will announce its fiscal third quarter earnings on January 23. Earlier in a regulatory filing on January 11, Adani Green said, “We would like to inform you that the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 to consider and approve the Unaudited Financial Results for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2024.
