Stocks in Focus: GIFT Nifty was trading 3 points or 0.01% higher at 23,826 indicating a muted start for domestic indices NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex on Thursday. Previously, on Tuesday, the NSE Nifty 50 closed the session 25 points or 0.11% lower at 23,728, while the BSE Sensex fell 67 points or 0.09% to close at 78,473.

India Cements 

India Cements (ICL) announced that its former promoter N Srinivasan has stepped down as the company’s managing director and CEO with immediate effect. The company’s board also approved the resignations of whole-time director Rupa Gurunath and two other non-independent directors, Chitra Srinivasan and VM Mohan.

Swiggy 

Swiggy plans to have at least 100,000 female delivery partners by 2030, according to company MD and group CEO Sriharsha Majety. Majety, while speaking at an event at the NSE headquarters, added that more women delivery partners on the road is a positive signal.

InterGlobe Aviation

IndiGo expects to carry 112 million passengers in 2024 and is on the way to becoming a leading player in global aviation, its chief Pieter Elbers has said. In 2023, the country’s largest airline has flown over 100 million passengers.

Ola Electric 

Ola Electric said it now has 4,000 stores across the country, marking a four-fold jump from the earlier reported figure of 800 on December 2 of this month. The company said it has added 3,200 new stores to its existing network in less than a month.

Indian Oil Corporation 

Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) will invest Rs 61,000 crore to set up a naphtha cracker project at Paradip in Odisha. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for this will be signed between the Odisha government and the IOCL in January during the ‘Utkarsh Odisha Make in Odisha 2025’ summit.

Dabur 

Dabur filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against rival Patanjali Ayurved, seeking to restrain it from running ‘disparaging’ advertisements against its Chyawanprash products, according to a report from Bar and Bench. The lawsuit alleges that an advertisement featuring Patanjali Ayurved founder Baba Ramdev falsely claims that only Patanjali’s Chyawanprash is ‘original’ and thus authentic while other Chyawanprash manufacturers lack knowledge of ‘Ved’ (or Vedas) and ‘Ayurved’,
