BSE, NSE Holiday list: Is the stock market open on January 1, 2025 ?

NSE BSE Stock Market Holiday: It is trade as usual for the stock market on January 1, 2025. The markets are not shut on that day. Therefore,  one needs to plan accordingly.

14 market holidays in 2025

The stock market will have 14 holidays in overall 2025. These breaks are spread across different months, including one in February, May, November, and December, two in March and August, and three in April and October, aligning with major festivals and events.

Stock Market Holidays in January 2025

In January, there is just one stock market holiday, which coincides with a Sunday when the markets are anyway closed. This holiday falls on January 26, Republic Day, which means the markets will remain operational for the rest of the month. The markets are shut on Saturdays and Sundays.
