Oil slips below $70/bbl: Check Petrol, Diesel Price Today 20 December 2024 in Chennai, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Srinagar and Hyderabad

Petrol, Diesel Price Today 20 December 2024: Oil prices went down on Friday amid concern about slower demand growth in 2025, particularly in China, the world’s largest importer of crude. As per the latest report, Brent crude futures declined by 39 cents to $68.99 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures dipped by 39 cents to $68.99 per barrel. Meanwhile, the US dollar has risen to a two-year high after the Federal Reserve’s indicated to proceed cautiously with interest rate cuts in 2025, as Reuters reported. A strong dollar will lead to an increase in the price of oil for buyers who are using other currencies. On the other hand, slower interest rate reductions could hinder economic growth and will reduce the oil demand.
