BMW M2 facelift launched in India at Rs 1.03 crore — updated styling, more performance

BMW has launched the most affordable M Performance machine— M2— in India in an updated avatar. But before you stress on affordability, the new M2 is priced at Rs 1.03 crore (ex-showroom), a premium of Rs 5 lakh over the outgoing model. The compact sports car comes to India as a fully-imported CBU model and hence the hefty price tag.

This comes in the backdrop of the new M5 launched in India last week. The M2 is based on the 2 Series Gran Coupe which is already on sale in India. In its new avatar, the M2 gets minor styling tweaks, new colours, additional features, and more power.

BMW M2: Exterior updates

The design of the updated BMW M2 remains largely unchanged but gets minor cosmetic tweaks which could only be spotted by a keen eye. For instance, in its latest iteration the M2 gets black exhaust tailpipes as standard, while the BMW M2 logo at the front and rear now comes in black with a silver surround.

BMW M2 rear

The car continues to roll on M light 19-inch front and 20-inch rear alloy wheels but can be had with a silver finish as an option. The 2-door sports coupe gets an extended range of colour options including Sao Paulo Yellow, Fire Red, Portimao Blue and Skyscraper Grey.

BMW M2: Interior & Feature updates

Inside the cabin, the M2 gets a new flat bottom steering wheel wrapped with an optional Alcantara finish. Further, the optional M Sport seats in Vernasca leather can now be ordered in a dual-tone red/black theme. In addition, the optional M Carbon bucket seats are also available as an individual option.
