Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 launched at Rs 2.35 lakh

Royal Enfield has launched its latest 350cc motorcycle, the Goan Classic, at Rs 2.35 lakh onwards. The Motorcycle comes with either a single-tone paint job or a dual-tone option, which is priced at Rs 2.38 lakh. The prices are ex-showroom Chennai. The Goan Classic is based on the Classic 350, however, it is a cooler take on what a Royal Enfield can be. Here are more details.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 — Platform and design

The new Goan Classic 350 is based on the same platform as the Classic 350, in fact, even sharing the tank, side boxes, fenders, and headlight housing. The headlight is an LED unit and the motorcycle features a round tail lamp. The biggest design difference that sets the Goan Classic apart from the Classic is the ape-hanger handlebar and the forward-set footpegs.

Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 — Hardware and features

The Goan Classic features regular telescopic forks, dual shocks at the rear, 19-inch front and 16-inch rear spoke wheels, disc brakes at both ends, dual-channel ABS, LED lighting, a semi-digital instrument cluster, adjustable levers, and the Tripper navigation device. Overall, the motorcycle keeps it simple and does not get traction control, ride modes, or phone connectivity.

That said, the Goan Classic is an interesting motorcycle primarily owing to its paint schemes – Rave Red, Trip Teal, Shack Black, and Purple Haze – and for its single-seater looks. This is the lowest motorcycle in terms of seat height, as it stands 750mm off the ground, owing to its 16-inch rear wheel set up.

The Goan Classic is powered by Royal Enfield’s J-Series engine, which makes a little over 20 bhp and 27Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
