Toyota dispatches 1 lakh units of Innova Hycross

lakh dispatches of the Innova Hycross across the country ever since it was launched in late 2022. In fact, this development coincides with the MPV’s second anniversary since its debut in the Indian market.

Built on Toyota’s advanced Global Architecture (TNGA), the Innova Hycross was launched on November 2022 and marked a significant departure from the previous versions of Innova. Unlike the Innova Crysta and other previous forms of the MPV which were based on a ladder-on-frame chassis, the Hycross is based on a monocoque chassis.

Commenting on the new milestone, Mr. Sabari Manohar – Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, “We are thrilled to share that the Innova HyCross has achieved a milestone of 1,00,000 units. Heartfelt thanks to our customers for their trust and support as we continue to drive unparalleled mobility experiences.”

Toyota Innova Hycross: Specs & features

Powering the Innova Hycross is the fifth generation self-charging strong hybrid electric system comprising a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine. This powertrain delivers a combined output of 184 bhp while being paired with an eCVT automatic gearbox.  The hybrid system enables the vehicle to operate 60% of the time in fully electric (EV) mode which leads to best-in-segment fuel efficiency. The fuel efficiency of this powertrain is claimed to be 23.24 kmpl.

In addition, Toyota also offers a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine without a hybrid setup which develops 173 bhp and 209 Nm of peak torque. This motor is paired with a CVT automatic gearbox that sends power to the front wheels.  The fuel efficiency of this powertrain is rated at 16.13 kmpl.
