Kolhapur-based KAW Veloce Motors has set up a new two-wheeler enterprise in India named MotoHause which presently comprises two brands– Brixton and VLF. Like Brixton, VLF has an Italian identity but its scooters are manufactured by Taizhou Velocifero Vehicle Co. Ltd, which is based in Zhejiang, China.
The Italian two-wheeler brand has now introduced its first product in India. Carrying a unique nameplate called “Tennis”, the new electric scooter is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom) which makes it a direct rival to the likes of Ola S1 Pro, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube S, Vida V1, and Ather 450X. The scooters will be produced at KAW’s facility in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
Deliveries of the VLF Tennis are slated to commence from 25 November onwards and will be available for sale across all MotoHaus retail outlets. Speaking of which, MotoHaus is currently in process of setting up its premium outlets in Tier 1 and Tier 2 centres of the country including Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Jaipur, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Goa. The company intends to open 20 dealerships by the end of 2025.
