Piaggio unveils most powerful Vespa at EICMA 2024

Quoting the famous Greek philosopher Heraclitus, “The only constant in life is change”. This is a testimony of the eighty-year-old Italian scooter brand, Vespa. The two-wheeler company unveiled its flagship model, the GTS 310 at EICMA 2024 in Milan. According to Vespa, when it comes to power and response, no other scooter in its portfolio can match the new 310 cc engine. Here is all you need to know about the Vespa GTS 310.

Vespa GTS 310: New powerful engine

Based on the liquid-cooled 278 cc engine, Vespa has increased the dimensions and the capacity to 310 cc. Vespa has revealed that the 310 cc engine consists of more than 70 per cent of new components which ensures an improved performance. The stroke of the single-cylinder is increased from 63 mm to over 70 mm boosting the power to 25 bhp at 7,750 rpm. The torque has also been increased to 27.5 Nm at 6000 rpm delivering pull power at low speeds.

The powertrain gets other new components like injectors, a tilted cylinder, a new starting system, and a crankcase design that significantly reduces mechanical and drive belt noise. The new engine meets the Euro 5+ standard.
