New-gen KTM 390 Adventure unofficial bookings open ahead of debut

KTM is all set to unveil a brand new KTM 390 Adventure in India on 14 November 2024. The latest iteration of the adventure tourer recently made its global debut at the EICMA last week. The upcoming 390 Adventure will get significant upgrades over the existing model in terms of visual as well as cosmetics

It has now come to light that bookings for the new KTM 390 Adventure have begun, albeit unofficially. According to a recent media report, select KTM dealerships in the country have begun accepting bookings for the adventure tourer. India will be the first market to receive the new-gen 390 Adventure since its global debut.

Based on the new 390 Duke platform which made its debut last year, the new 390 Adventure will be manufactured by Bajaj at its Chakan-based facility. Prior to its international debut, test mules of the latest iteration of 390 Adventure have been spotted on numerous occasions over the past two years both in India as well as overseas. The new 390 Adventure will be available in two variants– Adventure R and Adventure X.

New-gen KTM 390 Adventure: Hardware Specs & Features

The Adventure X is tailored for the open road, while the Adventure R is ready to conquer the dirt. Both motorcycles are underpinned by the same trellis frame found in the 2022 390 Duke. In terms of suspension, we see inverted front forks paired with a monoshock and a single-sided swingarm. The upcoming Adventure X rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked alloy wheels and gets a seat height of 825mm.

On the other hand, the Adventure R rolls on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire spoke wheels. The seat height on this variant is pegged at 885mm.Braking duties are handled by single discs at both ends. The Adventure X rides on a 200mm non-adjustable suspension,
