KFC-operator Devyani International Ltd (DIL) on Monday reported its quarter results for Q2FY25 with profit at Rs 1087.51 lakh in comparison to Rs 819.47 crore reported during the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal year. The Q2FY25 profit dropped by 99.9 per cent on-year. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 1222.16 crore, up 49.1 per cent as against Rs 819.47 crore during the second quarter of FY24. The company EBITDA stood at Rs 195.5 crore, up 27 per cent YoY. During the quarter, the company opened 85 net new stores.
During Q2FY25, KFC India posted revenue at Rs 543 crore, posting a growth of 6.8 per cent YoY. Pizza Hut India recorded Q2 revenue at Rs 185 crore, up 0.5 per cent on-year. And Costa reported revenue for the quarter in review at Rs 49 crore, up 41.6 per cent YoY.

For H1FY25, Devyani International posted consolidated revenue at Rs 2440.00 crore, posting a growth of 47 per cent vs H1FY24. Consolidated reported EBITDA closed at Rs 420 crore, with margin at 17.3 per cent. The company opened 139 net new stores during the period.
Total store count stood at 1,921 as of September 30, 2024, on track to achieve the guidance of 2,000 stores in FY25, Devyani International said.
Devyani International also announced that it has secured exclusive master franchise rights for three modern QSR brands: TeaLive, New York Fries and SANOOK KITCHEN. “Each partnership is unique and shall help DIL to achieve its growth strategy. As DIL’s existing brands continue to drive store growth and introduce exciting new menu offerings, DIL broadens its offerings to include a new category of modern food & beverage choices by expanding its portfolio of brands,” it said.
In terms of store openings during the quarter across brands, Devyani International said that it launched 28 KFC stores in India and 1 in Thailand, 23 Pizza Hut stores, 15 Costa stores, and 18 Vaango outlets.
