Petrol, Diesel Price Today 5 November 2024 in Noida, Mumbai, Bhopal and Bangalore

Petrol, Diesel Price Today 5 November 2024: Oil prices went down on Tuesday as investors prepared for volatility related to the US Presidential Election. A rise of 2% was recorded in the last session as OPEC+ decided to delay a planned production increase in December. As per the latest report, Brent crude futures went down by 15 cents and were at $74.93 per barrel whereas US West Texas Intermediate crude was reduced by 14 cents at $71.33 per barrel.

As per reports from Reuters, more oil supplies are expected to come from Iran as Tehran has recently approved to boost the output by 250,000 barrels per day.  Meanwhile, in the US, a tropical storm is likely to strengthen into a category-2 hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico this week as it could reduce oil production by around 4 million barrels.

According to Rahul Kalantri, VP Commodities, of Mehta Equities Ltd, ”We expect crude oil prices to remain volatile this week, influenced by fluctuations in the dollar index, geopolitical tensions, and the lead-up to the U.S. elections. For today’s session, crude oil has support at $70.50-69.70 and resistance at $71.90-72.50. In INR terms, support is seen at ₹5,960-5,870, with resistance at ₹6,100-6,165.”
