Hero MotoCorp showcases four new models at EICMA— Karizma, Xtreme, Xpulse, Vida

Hero MotoCorp has become a very prominent face at EICMA over the last few years. At the ongoing annual motorcycle exhibition this year, the largest Indian two-wheeler manufacturer has come with huge expectations that make Hero a truly global brand. The company has unveiled four new products that will be added to its lineup soon both for India as well as international markets.

1. Vida Z electric scooter

The first product to be unveiled by Hero at EICMA was its latest electric scooter offering under the Vida brand called Vida Z. The images reveal a very unique design which is different from the current range of Vida scooters– V1 Plus and V1 Pro. Powering the Vida Z is a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) which draws power from a wide range of removable battery options from 2.2 kWh up to 4.4 kWh.

Hero, however, is yet to divulge any specific details such as the power and torque output from the motor or range on offer in a single charge for the Vida Z. That said, the new e-scooter will be packed with all modern gizmos such as a touch-enabled TFT instrument display that comes with a wide range of connectivity options that allows geofencing, vehicle health monitoring, and over the air (OTA) updates to name a few.

2. Hero Xpulse 210

Hero MotoCorp unveiled the new-gen Xpulse which has gained some a new engine and some new hardware. In its latest avatar, the Xpulse is powered by the same 210cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor which propels the Karizma XMR 210. This motor churns out 24.5 bhp and 20.4 Nm of peak torque in the adventure tourer. Transmission duties will be carried out by a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch.

The new Xpulse 210 benefits from fully adjustable upside-down front forks and rear monoshock with a travel of 210mm and 205mm, respectively. Other key highlights include a 4.2-inch TFT instrument console, switchable ABS modes, and a 210mm ground clearance. Like its predecessor, the new Xpulse will also be available with an optional rally kit for hardcore off-road activities.
