Kawasaki Z900 gets updates for 2025 — India launch soon

Kawasaki has updated the Z900 for 2025, giving the motorcycle a few standard features, while also updating the creamy inline four-cylinder engine. The new Kawasaki Z900 will be available in two versions – Standard and SE – and expect the motorcycle to be launched in India soon. Let’s take a closer look at what’s changed and what’s not.

2025 Kawasaki Z900 — What are the updates?

For 2025, the Kawasaki Z900 gets cosmetic and mechanical changes. Starting with the visual update, the headlight and tail lamp have seen a slight redesign, while the motorcycle gets new tank shrouds, making it look more aggressive compared to the current model. The motorcycle will be available with two height seat options – 810mm and 830mm – giving customers a choice of ride height.

Moving on to the electronics, the 2025 Kawasaki Z900 gets cruise control as standard now, along with traction control and ride modes. The Japanese manufacturer has also updated the ECU of the motorcycle, while it now gets an IMU, enhancing the rider aids. The TFT instrument cluster has also changed to a crisper unit with a new layout for information while having the ability to connect to a smartphone.

Cycling parts have seen tweaks and the updated Z900 gets adjustable USD shocks and a monoshock at the rear, while the higher-spec SE gets an Ohlins unit at the back. The brake callipers are now four-piston units and the motorcycle runs on new Dunlop Sportmax tyres.

Kawasaki has retained the 948cc inline four-cylinder engine but has updated the throttle bodies and given the cams new profiles. The result of this is better torque from 1500 rpm onwards. The engine makes the same 123bhp while making 97.4Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and a quickshifter comes as standard. Given that the Z900 is a good selling motorcycle for Kawasaki in India, the launch is expected to take place soon.
