Mahindra XUV 3XO EV spied testing ahead of launch in early 2025

Mahindra has expansive plans when it comes to electric vehicles (EVs) with its full-range of Born Electric vehicles showcased a couple of years back and geared up to launch in the coming few months. Besides the new Born Electric models which will be based on a skateboard EV architecture, Mahindra will continue to focus on affordable electric cars as well.

This will include the XUV400 and the upcoming XUV 3XO EV. Both battery-powered models will be based on the same platform as the erstwhile XUV300 and its successor the XUV 3XO which in turn are based on the Ssangyong Tivoli sold in South Korea. The upcoming XUV 3XO EV was recently spied testing in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu

The latest set of spy shots show a partially camouflaged test unit of the electric SUV which looks very familiar to current XUV 3XO in profile. While the front end is completely wrapped under camouflage, the rear end is out open revealing the exact same connected LED taillamp setup as the XUV 3XO along with the same branding at the centre of the tailgate. The images also reveal the charging flap located on the front left fender.
