Bond Edition Triumph motorcycles auctioned for whopping price

Triumph Motorcycles joined hands with Hollywood actor Daniel Craig, for a noble cause. This isn’t the first time that the iconic British bike brand and the James Bond actor have come together, albeit this time it isn’t a film or any live action project. Triumph has auctioned two limited Bond Edition motorcycles in charity fetching a whopping sum of 60,000 pounds  (approx. Rs 65.40 lakh).

The motorcycles were auctioned  to support the RNLI who are celebrating their 200th anniversary in 2024. Out of the two limited edition bikes auctioned, one was a personal possession of Craig. Both motorcycles were auctioned to support the RNLI who are celebrating their 200th anniversary in 2024.

Bond Edition Triumph bikes auction

One is a  #003/250 Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition and the other is a #001/250 Tiger 900 Bond Edition, both bikes signed by Craig. For the uninitiated, Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is the charity that saves lives at sea. Volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour rescue service in the UK and Ireland and their seasonal lifeguards patrol busy beaches. RNLI crews and lifeguards have saved over 146,000 lives since 1824.

The two limited Bond Edition models will be sold to the winners through Bonhams|Cars Motorcycles at the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show on 12th and 13th October 2024 in Staffordshire (UK). Both bikes have been hand signed by the Casino Royale actor. Besides, each winner also gets an exclusive opportunity for a riding experience at the Triumph Adventure Experience in Wales, UK with James Bond stunt coordinator Lee Morrison and stunt double Paul Edmondson.

Both motorcycles will be sold with the original V5C documents bearing Daniel Craig’s name, as well as a certificate of authenticity signed by both Craig and Triumph Motorcycles’ CEO, Nick Bloor. Moreover, both bikes have been used while filming the 26th Bond film No Time To Die which was released in 2021. The film also marked the swansong of Craig as the titular British spy on the screen.

Powering both the Scrambler Bond Edition is a 1200cc, liquid-cooled, 12-valve, SOHC engine which churns out 88 bhp and 110 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the Tiger Bond Edition is powered by a 888cc liquid-cooled,
