The telecom operator Bharti Airtel has given a return of 46% in the past in one year. In a recent research report, the international brokerage house CLSA picked Bharti Airtel as the top pick for the Telecom sector.
Bharti Airtel partners Apple
Bharti Airtel has announced a strategic partnership with Apple. This collaboration will provide Airtel’s Wi-Fi and postpaid customers with exclusive access to Apple TV+ and Apple Music services, reported Reuters. Airtel will provide access to Apple TV+ for its home Wi-Fi subscribers on plans beginning at Rs 999, enabling them to stream content on various devices.

The brokerage house Morgan Stanley chose Bharti Airtel in the Telecom sector. It has maintained its ‘Buy’ rating on the stock, with a target price of Rs 1,780. It expects the company to post a revenue growth of 8% and EBITDA growth of 11% over the next three years. This will be largely due to the consolidation of Indus Towers. Plus, it also thinks that the company will see a one-time exceptional gain from the Indus Towers business combination. It is very likely that Bharti Airtel may see a 42% increase in FY25 earnings.
Goldman Sachs on Bharti Airtel
The brokerage house Goldman Sachs maintained its Buy rating on Bharti Airtel, with a target price of Rs 1,780. It thinks that the company’s domestic business is improving in terms of generating free cash flow, which will later result in a better shareholder payout. Moving ahead, Goldman Sachs sees that the investors may prefer Bharti Airtel for investment in its India business given its growth and earnings visibility.

A week ago, CLSA picked Bharti Airtel as its top choice in the Telecom sector, maintaining its ‘Buy’ call. It has a target price of Rs 1,880, implying an upside of almost 15% from the current market price. The positive rating came on the back of revenue outlook and new user additions. The company posted a leading and growing average revenue per user (ARPU) in the third quarter of FY25. The company’s ARPU rose by 21% in Q3 FY25 against Reliance Jio and it was 14% higher in Q3 FY24.
