GIFT Nifty indicated that Indian equity indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 may see a positive opening on Wednesday. Here’s a look at the key stocks to watch in trade.

Stocks in Focus: GIFT Nifty was trading 85 points or 0.36% higher at 23,857 indicating a positive start for domestic indices NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex on Wednesday. Previously, on Tuesday, the Sensex jumped 1,397.07 points or 1.81% to settle at 78,583.81, while the Nifty climbed 374.35 points or 1.6% to close at 23,735.40. The Nifty Bank index also ended in the green, gaining 813.50 points to reach 50,024.05.

Stocks to watch on February 05, 2025 Tata Power

Tata Power reported a 10.3% increase in net profit, reaching Rs 1,187 crore in the latest quarter, compared to Rs 1,076 crore a year ago. The company’s revenue rose by 5% to Rs 15,391 crore, though it fell short of analysts’ expectations of Rs 17,254 crore. Furthermore, EBITDA surged 39% YoY to Rs 3,352 crore, with margins improving by 500 basis points to 21.8%.

Birla Corp

Birla Corporation posted a 72% decline in net profit, falling to Rs 31 crore from Rs 109 crore last year. Revenue for the quarter stood at Rs 2,272 crore, down 2.4% YoY, while EBITDA fell 33.4% to Rs 263 crore.

RVNL

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a letter of acceptance from East Coast Railway for the Koraput-Singapur road doubling project. The work includes the construction of 27 major bridges, five road over bridges (ROBs), and earthworks for track formation between Tikiri and Bhalumaska stations.

Jewellery and watchmaker Titan saw a 5% decline in net profit, down to Rs 990 crore from Rs 1,040 crore a year ago. The company in the exchange filing pointed out that the drop to customs duty reductions on gold, which led to inventory losses.

Aadhar Housing Finance

As per the regulatory filling, the company announced that it has issued 4.8 lakh equity shares with a face value of Rs 10 each to eligible employees as part of its stock option plan.

Torrent Power

Torrent Power reported a 30.8% rise in net profit, reaching Rs 489.3 crore,
