Sri Lanka-Adani power deal is still on: Govt spokesperson confirms, firm to lower wind power costs

The Sri Lankan government has initiated discussions with India’s Adani Group to reduce the cost of power from two wind power projects set to be constructed in the island nation’s northern province.

These projects, part of a $442 million investment by the Adani Group, aim to generate 500 MW of renewable energy. The initiative aligns with Sri Lanka’s goal of increasing renewable energy sources to address its energy crisis and boost economic recovery.
