Let’s take a look at the top 5 best-selling SUVs during the first half of FY25, along with their year-on-year growth compared to H1 FY24.

The Tata Punch leads the list in terms of sales, having sold a total of 1,01,820 units during the first half of this year while witnessing a YoY growth of 40.1 percent. The Punch’s petrol, CNG, and all-electric powertrains have been a key reason for its success, while its compact dimensions and wide range of variants within its powertrain options have also helped.

The Hyundai Creta comes next, with sales in H1 accounting for 96,416 units. The Hyundai Creta has been the carmaker’s best-seller for a long time and the facelift introduced this year has helped the carmaker regain slumping sales.

Next comes the Ertiga, a surprise entry in a list dominated by SUVs. Maruti Suzuki manages two spots on this list with the Brezza following the Ertiga’s sales. During the first half of this financial year, Maruti Suzuki sold 95,061 units of the Ertiga MPV, while Brezza sales accounted for 81,928 units. Both models saw a healthy YoY growth.

Finishing the list of the best-selling UVs in H1 FY25 is the Mahindra Scorpio. During the first half, Mahindra sold 81,293 units of the Scorpio, which consists of the Scorpio N and the Classic, while its YoY growth saw an increase of 35.8 percent.
