TaskUs, Indore based BPO fires over 300 employees without notice, sparks staff protests | Watch

Indore-based TaskUs, a leading BPO and digital transformation services provider, abruptly fired over 300 employees without prior notice, sparking widespread outrage. A video of distressed employees addressing the company staff has gone viral on social media. In the video, employees accuse company representatives of mistreating them and even laughing while delivering the layoff news, further deepening their frustration and grief.

The terminations were reportedly carried out under the pretext of project closure and allegations of fraud. However, many of the dismissed employees denied any wrongdoing, asserting that they were innocent and unfairly punished for supposed irregularities in the project.

The sudden layoffs led to protests outside the TaskUs office, where a mix of anger and heartbreak was palpable among the affected workers. Some vented their fury at the company’s management, while others were seen in tears, pleading for their jobs. “We need our jobs back,” said one of the employees, reflecting the desperation and uncertainty faced by the group.

The incident has drawn attention to the growing concerns about employee treatment and job security in the outsourcing sector.
