New Jharkhand Cabinet likely to take oath on December 5

The new Jharkhand Cabinet is set to be sworn in at the Raj Bhawan on Thursday, December 5, with the ceremony scheduled for 12.30 pm.

Governor Santosh Gangwar will administer the oath of office and secrecy to 11 ministers expected to join the JMM-led coalition government. The swearing-in comes exactly a week after Chief Minister Hemant Soren took his oath on November 28.

“Eleven ministers are likely to take oath of the JMM-led coalition government on December 5 around 12 noon,” the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader told PTI.

In the recently concluded Jharkhand Assembly elections, the JMM-led alliance secured a decisive majority with 56 of the 81 seats, while the BJP-led NDA managed to win 24 seats.
