Festive season boost: Snapdeal witnesses 1.8x order volume growth during festive season sale 2024

E-commerce major Snapdeal announced that it has witnessed 1.8 times growth in order volumes during the festive season sale till 15th October 2024. The growth is in comparison with last year’s festive season sales period. The e-commerce platform is focused on value segments and hosts high-quality, value -priced merchandise in key categories like home, fashion and beauty & personal care.

Per the details shared by Snapdeal, the categories that observed significant growth this year in order volumes are women’s fashion with products like kurtis, dupattas, lehengas, tops and tunics which saw a 2.5 times jump in orders. Similarly, kid’s fashion products such as suit sets, frocks, dresses and other ethnic wear witnessed 2x growth, and men’s fashion such as ethnic footwear, short and long kurtas, kurta pyjama sets, etc. noted a 1.9 times growth in orders during this period. The home decor category too saw growth and recorded a 1.6x increase in orders with products including furniture, home furnishing accessories, bedsheets, mattresses and pillow covers among others posting growth in orders during the period.

In the run up to the festive season sale, Snapdeal expanded its product range in the home decor and fashion segments by adding national and regional brands to its platform from across the country. The sale offered products at exciting prices across categories with pooja essentials starting at Rs 99, sweets starting at Rs 129, festive apparels at Rs 269, banarasi sarees under Rs 499 and necklace and sets under Rs 299.
