Stocks To Watch: Zomato, ONGC, Tata Motors, TCS, HAL, Ashok Leyland, GR Infraprojects, CRISIL

GIFT Nifty indicated that Indian equity indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 may see a negative opening on Friday. Here’s a look at the key stocks to watch in trade.

Stocks in Focus: GIFT Nifty was trading 77.50 points or 0.31% lower at 24,557 indicating a lower start for domestic indices NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex on Friday. Previously, on Thursday, the NSE Nifty 50 closed the session 93 points or 0.38% lower at 24,548, while the BSE Sensex rose 236 points or 0.29% to close at 81,290.

Stocks to watch on December 13, 2024

Zomato 

Zomato said it received a GST demand order of Rs 401.7 crore for non-payment of the tax on delivery charges between October 29, 2019, and March 31, 2022. With the penalty and interest component of a similar amount, the total tax demand is Rs  803.4 crore.

ONGC 

ONGC is looking at cost optimisation and profit maximisation, with crude oil prices hovering around a lower range. It is targeting 40 million metric tonnes of oil equivalent (mmtoe) of indigenous oil and gas output in the medium term with production to start in a clutch of new fields, Sushma Rawat, Director (Exploration), told Arunima Bharadwaj in an interview.

Tata Motors

Tata Motors has announced a price hike of up to 2% across its entire range of trucks and buses. The increase will take effect from January 1, 2025. “The price increase is to offset the rise in input costs,” Tata Motors stated.

Tata Consultancy Services 

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced a five-year deal with Telenor Denmark (TnDK) to provide ITIS-managed services. The partnership entails managing TnDK’s IT infrastructure through TCS’s delivery centre in Europe.

Hindustan Aeronautics 

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) signed a contract with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) for the procurement of 12 Su-30MKI aircraft. The deal, valued at around Rs 13,500 crore, includes associated equipment and is inclusive of taxes and duties. The aircraft will feature a homegrown content of 62.6%, achieved through the indigenisation of numerous components manufactured by the Indian defence industry.

Ashok Leyland 

Ashok Leyland said it has won an order from the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) to supply 1,475 BSVI diesel passenger bus chassis. The total value of the contract is approximately Rs 345.58 crore.
