Skoda Kylaq vs competitors: Price check

Skoda has finally unveiled the entire price list of its latest offering in India— the Kylaq. With prices starting at Rs 7.89 lakh and going up to Rs 14.40 lakh (both ex-showroom), the Kylaq competes against some of the heavyweights in the sub-4 metre SUV space including Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV 3XO.

The Kylaq is available in four trims – Classic, Signature, Signature+ and Prestige. There are seven colors on offer: Tornado Red, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, Carbon Steel, Lava Blue, Deep Black and Olive Gold. Here’s a quick rundown of how the prices of the new Skoda Kylaq fares against the segment heavyweights.

As we can see from the table above, the Kylaq has the second most affordable base and top variants after Mahindra XUV 3XO and Maruti Suzuki Brezza, respectively. Therefore, in terms of pricing, it sits right in the mix with the competition.

Skoda Kylaq: Features & Specs

Skoda offers a wide array of features with the Kylaq such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-inch digital cockpit, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, automatic LED headlamps, electric sunroof, cruise control, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and segment-first six-way electrically adjustable front seats with ventilation. Safety is taken care of by six airbags, Hill-hold control, and more.

Powering the Kylaq is a 1.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine which pushes out 114 bhp and 178 Nm of peak torque. This motor comes paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
