The year 2024 has witnessed a significant surge in CNG vehicles in the passenger vehicle segment, with October showing a remarkable 67 per cent year-on-year increase. Reports suggest that Maruti Suzuki, the leader in the CNG market, is gearing up to launch a top-end CNG variant of the Baleno. This would mark a first for the brand’s Nexa division, as Maruti Suzuki has traditionally offered CNG options only in its entry-level and mid-range trims. The company has yet to officially confirm the new CNG variant.
