Mahindra Thar more than just a capable off-roading vehicle is a statement thanks to its immense road presence. Unfortunately, many people misuse its presence to intimidate and even bully pedestrians and other vehicles on the roads. Hence, we often witness in real world and social media many less educated Thar owners involving in nuisance activities..
Something similar happened recently when a Thar owner in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh decided to carry loose soil on the vehicle’s roof top. A video of the same has gone viral on social media where a UP 15 registered black Mahindra Thar is seen raging through a highway at high speed, deliberately spreading dust in the surroundings.
The soil flies around the road affecting other motorists. What made matters even more dangerous are a host of vehicles coming from the opposite direction on the wrong side of the road. The video soon caught the attention of the police. While the reason behind this act is still unknown, the Meerut police have taken cognisance of the matter and are investigating it.

This obviously isn’t the first instance of hooliganism on roads. Such incidents are more common in the northern parts of the country, especially with proper tall SUVs. Authorities not only need to keep a check on such irresponsible drivers but also implement the strictest punishment possible under the law which dissuades such rowdy acts in the future.
