Sonata Software bags multi-million dollar modernisation deal in APAC

Sonata Software on Wednesday said it has secured a multi-million dollar modernisation deal with a global leader in access solutions. The project aims to integrate and standardise the client’s business processes across 13 countries in the APAC region, enabling seamless operations and real-time engagement with customers, suppliers, distributors, and partners, it said.

The deal was secured in Q1FY25 and highlighted during an earnings call in July, according to the company.

As part of the transformation, Sonata Software will modernise the client’s Dynamics AX 2012 R3 system to D365 Finance and Supply Chain Management. The initiative includes migrating data from legacy systems, implementing a data platform with over 260 Power BI reports, optimising advanced warehousing and planning processes, and conducting pilot programmes in Australia, New Zealand, and China. Additionally, an intelligence layer powered by Microsoft Fabric will be incorporated to streamline the data-to-decision journey.
