Honda QC1 electric scooter makes debut: Specs, features and range

Alongside Activa Electric, Honda has launched another electric scooter called QC1. With the latest launches, Honda became the latest legacy two-wheeler manufacturer to step into the electric vehicle industry. Like Activa e:, bookings for OC1 will begin on January 1 while deliveries will commence from February 2025 onwards.

Honda QC1: Design

Visually, the QC1 is very similar to the Activa e: flaunting a sleek design with smooth body lines flowing across the surface.Highlights like the front apron-mounted LED headlamp, a smiling DRL strip on the handlebar, a single-piece dual-tone seat, a chunky pillion grab rail, 12-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a sleek LED taillamps, and a flat floorboard have been carried forward from the Activa electric. 

The QC1 is available in five vibrant colour options namely Pearl Serenity Blue, Pearl Misty White, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, and Pearl Shallow Blue.

Honda QC1: Features & Specs

In terms of features, the Honda QC1 comes equipped with  5.0-inch LCD instrument panel, USB Type-C charging port, 26-litre under-seat storage box. The major difference between QC1 and Activa e: is the fact that the former is available with a single fixed battery pack while the latter gets a removable battery setup. The 1.5kWh battery on the Activa promises a range of 80 km on a single charge.

The battery in the QC1 can be recharged at home with a 330-watt off-board home charger that comes with an auto-cut technology, ensuring a safe and efficient charging process. The battery can be recharged from 0 to 80% in 4 hours 30 minutes while a full rejuvenation will take 6 hours and 50 minutes.

Powering the QC1 is an in-wheel electric motor that has a peak power rating of 1.8 kW and 78 Nm of torque.  This scooter can clock a top speed of 50 kmph. There are two riding modes to choose from: Standard &
