BMW Motorrad has unveiled its updated middle-weight motorcycles for 2025, the BMW F 900 XR and F 900. The two motorcycles get cosmetic updates and a few crucial standard features for 2025, making them more desirable for customers. The motorcycle gets revised ergonomics as well, to make them handle better and offer more comfort.
New BMW F 900 XR and F 900 R — What’s new?
The new BMW F900 R roadster gets ergonomic changes. The handlebar and the footpegs have been repositioned to offer a more committed riding posture for the rider, while its rear section has been redesigned and the blinkers are now integrated. The street naked is available in Snapper Rocks Blue metallic and Blackstorm metallic colour options, including a Sport variant in white with Racing blue metallic scheme.

The touring-focused F 900 XR gets improved aerodynamics with a redesigned windscreen. The motorcycle now gets hand guars as standard with heated grips and gets an updated headlight unit with adaptive lights. Colour options for the new BMW F 900 XR include Racing Red, Blackstorm metallic, and a Sport variant in white with Racing blue metallic.

Apart from these upgrades, the two motorcycles get lighter wheels and adjustable suspension, along with added features such as dynamic traction control, engine drag control, ABS Pro, dynamic brake control and dynamic riding mode.
New BMW F 900 XR and F 900 R — Engine specifications
BMW has left the engine untouched in terms of specifications but has updated it to meet the latest Euro 5+ emission standards. The engine is the same 895cc inline twin-cylinder liquid-cooled unit mated to a six-speed gearbox.
