Maharashtra Results 2024 Date and Time: The results for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 will be officially announced on November 23, 2024. After a single-phase election held across the state’s 288 constituencies, the time has come for the state to learn the fate of its elected representatives. As millions of votes are counted, all the updates on the Maharashtra Election results will be available on the Election Commission of India website at results.eci.gov.in.

Maharashtra Polling Date: November 20, 2024

Maharashtra held its Assembly elections on November 20, 2024, when voters turned up at 1,00,186 polling booths across the state. The election process began at 7 am and ended at 6 pm. According to data from the Election Commission of India (ECI), the voter turnout was approximately 65.11%.

In total, more than 4,100 candidates contested for the 288 seats in Maharashtra’s Assembly. This marked an increase in the number of candidates and booths compared to the 2019 elections, where 96,654 booths were used.

Maharashtra Results 2024: Candidates and Parties

The Mahayuti alliance, which includes the BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde), and the Ajit Pawar-led NCP, fielded a large number of candidates across Maharashtra. The BJP contested 149 seats, Shiv Sena had 81 candidates, and the NCP put forward 59 candidates.

On the opposing side, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, which includes Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (Sharad Pawar), had its candidates on the ballot.
