Royal Enfield Classic 650 twin launch delayed; Goan Classic to be launched at Motoverse

Royal Enfield has several products ready at hand for the Indian and global markets. Over the last few weeks alone, the Channai-based two-wheeler maker launched the Bear 650, unveiled the Goan Classic 350, and unveiled the Classic 650 Twin. The bike maker also unveiled several products at EICMA, including electric models.

Now, since the products were showcased, the launch was to follow, however, Royal Enfield has spaced out the launches accordingly — The Goan Classic 350 will take centre stage at Motoverse with its launch while the launch of the Classic 650 twin will be pushed for early 2025.

Royal Enfield Motoverse — What to expect?

At the Motoverse, Royal Enfield is expected to showcase several motorcycles, including the recently-launched Interceptor Bear 650, the Classic 650 twin, and other electric motorcycles alongside the Himalayan Rally that was showcased at EICMA. However, the Goan Classic will take the limelight.

The Royal Enfield Goan Classic was showcased two days ago and will be launched at the event. The Goan Classic is the fifth motorcycle to be powered by the J-Series engine that made its debut with the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. The engine makes 20.2bhp and 27Nm of torque mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Royal Enfield Classic 650 twin launch

The launch of the Classic 650 twin is expected to take place in January 2025. When launched, it is expected to sit between the Shotgun 650 and the Super Meteor 650 in the bike maker’s lineup. It is yet to be seen if there will be multiple variants of the Classic 650 that will vary in terms of equipment they carry or if pricing will depend solely on colour options.
