Crude Oil gains on geopolitical concerns; Check Petrol, Diesel price today in Chennai, Gurgaon, Lucknow and Nashik

Crude oil prices are on upward trajectory on November 21 supported by the geopolitical concerns related to the Russian and Ukraine war. The concerns regarding the escalation of tension between both the nations outweigh the assurance from increase in the stockpiles of US crude inventories in recent days. Brent crude futures increased 16 cents, or 0.2 per cent to $72.97. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures gained 16 cents or 0.23 per cent to $68.91.

Ukraine targeted Russia with a number of British Storm Shadow cruise missiles on Wednesday, recently Ukraine got permitted to use western weapons against Russia, after a US  ATACMS missile attack on Russia. In response Moscow has stated that use of western weapons to strike Russian territory would be considered an escalation in the conflict.

Rahul Kalantri, VP Commodities, Mehta Equities said, “However, escalating tensions in the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the potential for additional stimulus measures from China may offer some support to prices. We expect crude oil prices to remain volatile in today’s session. Crude oil has support at $68.55–68.10, with resistance at $69.65–70.25. In INR terms, crude oil is supported at ₹5,770–5,700, with resistance at ₹5,890–5,940.”
