Maharashtra, Jharkhand Election 2024 Live Updates: Voting is underway in both Maharashtra and Jharkhand on Wednesday. While all the 288 seats in Maharashtra are voting today in a single phase, voting is ongoing on 38 seats in Jharkhand, where elections took place in two phases. Mahayuti is putting its best foot forward to retain power in Maharashtra while in Jharkhand, it is fighting to wrestle power from the JMM-Congress alliance.

Mumbai saw celebrities, including Sachin Tendulkar, Ranbir Kapoor and Akshay Kumar, coming out to cast their votes. The voting is expected to conclude by 6 pm today. Following this, the exit polls for both Maharashtra and Jharkhand will be released on Wednesday evening.

Amid voting for the Assembly elections, Maharashtra saw an overall voter turnout of 45.53 per cent while Jharkhand recorded a turnout of 61.47 per cent till 3 pm, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI) data.
