Tata Sierra EV, ICE launch in 2025

Tata Motors is going on full throttle in the all-electric segment as it will kick start 2025 with the launch of the Harrier EV and later with Sierra EV and internal combustion engine versions. The Sierra EV is expected to be launched in mid-2025 ahead of the ICE. Tata Motors used the same strategy for the Cuvv EV and Curvv ICE. Here is what we know so far.

Tata Sierra EV

Based on Tata Motors’ born electric architecture, the Sierra will use Acti.EV platform like the Punch EV and the new Harrier EV. Tata Motors has not revealed any technical details or battery specs, but like the Harrier EV, it could offer a single motor front-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive specifications. It should offer a driving range of around 500 km on a single charge.

In terms of design, Tata Motors will be retaining the squarish wide road presence and stick to the concept as much as possible.

The Sierra could be available in both petrol and diesel options. Then there is also the tried and tested 2-litre diesel powertrain, which produced 168 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. It will be mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic torque converter transmission
