Top five two-wheeler brands exported in October 2024

For two-wheeler makers in India, exports are as important as domestic sales. Two-wheeler exports have seen a YoY increase in October 2024, with Indian manufacturers leading the big Japanese names such as Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki. Here are the top two-wheeler manufacturers who exported the most units in October 2024 as per SIAM data.

Top two-wheeler brands exported in October 2024

Leading the charge in terms of two-wheeler exports is Bajaj in October 2024. The Pune-based automaker exported 1,58,463 units last month, witnessing a healthy YoY increase compared to October 2023, when the company exported 1,29,658 units. Following Bajaj is TVS in second, having exported 87,670 units in October. For Bajaj and TVS, their commuters are in demand, while Bajaj has seen success with its Pulsar range as well.

Honda takes third place in October 2024, having exported 44,591 units. For Honda, models such as the Dio, Activa, Navi, and other commuter motorcycles are popular in countries like Nepal, Colombia, and Sri Lanka. Honda is also gearing up to launch its first electric scooter in India on the 27th, which will also be exported.

Yamaha follows Honda in fourth, having exported 26,978 units in October 2024. For Yamaha, scooters and small-displacement motorcycles are key exports. Finishing the list of the top 5 two-wheeler brands exported in October 2024 is Hero, having exported 22,587 units. Hero MotoCorp exports to several countries worldwide and like other manufacturers, commuters are the most exported.
