Good news for central govt employees! CGHS, ECHS services expanded – Check updates on rates

In a recent development, the ECHS (Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme) has empaneled 40 private hospitals, nursing homes, and diagnostic centres. This decision was made during the 69th Screening Committee Meeting held on May 24, 2024.

The Managing Director of ECHS received a formal order outlining the empanelment. This process follows guidelines from the Government of India, specifically the Ministry of Defence. The new facilities will provide various medical services and treatments to ECHS beneficiaries.

All empaneled hospitals and diagnostic centres must adhere to the conditions set by the Ministry of Defence. This includes how rates are determined for the services provided. The rates will be based on those approved by the Empowered Committee and will be aligned with CGHS (Central Government Health Scheme) rates.
